About The Position

Clarkston Consulting is hiring an SAP FICO Solution Architect to deliver business solutions for clients in the life sciences, consumer products, and retail industries. The role involves leading the design, architecture, and deployment of SAP Finance and Controlling solutions, translating client business outcomes and requirements into end-to-end processes and system designs, and guiding consultants and client personnel through implementation. Consultants work from a home office when not at a client site, and the role includes an estimated 30–50% travel requirement depending on client and project needs. Relocation is not required.

The position also contributes to client engagement scoping and proposal development, provides technical support and training, and helps clients identify improvements using industry experience and leading practices. Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience and deep expertise in SAP FICO.
• At least 3 full-life-cycle projects.
• Expertise in SAP solution design and development.
• Excellent knowledge of finance business processes.
• Team-lead experience.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work across design, hands-on configuration, and other roles.
• Client-services orientation and experience actively executing engagements and project plans or tasks.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to present and write at publication-quality level to communicate findings and recommendations.
• A four-year degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
• Willingness to travel an estimated 30–50%, subject to client and project needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, architecture, and deployment of SAP solutions in the SAP FICO area.
• Facilitate business process reviews to gather expected outcomes and functional requirements, and document end-to-end processes and business requirements.
• Design and develop SAP FICO functions, including configuration to meet client requirements and integration with other modules.
• Identify opportunities to improve clients’ competitive advantage using industry experience and leading practices.
• Advise clients on industry trends and issues and their potential impact.
• Lead and guide consultants and client personnel implementing SAP FICO.
• Lead analysis and design sessions to develop requirements for client solutions.
• Manage and oversee the design and development of customized reports.
• Provide technical support to clients and conduct training as required.
• Assist with scoping prospective engagements and developing proposals.
