About The Position

Clarkston Consulting is hiring an SAP FICO Solution Architect to deliver business solutions for clients in the life sciences, consumer products, and retail industries. The role leads the design, architecture, and deployment of SAP solutions in the Finance & Controlling area, partnering with client teams to translate business outcomes and requirements into end-to-end processes and SAP functionality. The position combines solution design with hands-on configuration, client engagement, team leadership, technical support, and consulting business development. Consultants travel as client and project needs require and work from a home office when not at a client site. Relocation is not required.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience and deep expertise in SAP FICO.
• At least 3 full-life-cycle SAP projects.
• Expertise in SAP solution design and development.
• Excellent knowledge of Finance business processes.
• Team-lead experience.
• Flexibility and adaptability, including the ability to move between design work and hands-on configuration and take on new roles.
• Strong client-services orientation and experience actively executing engagements and project plans or tasks.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to present and write at publication-quality level to communicate findings and recommendations.
• A four-year degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
• Ability to travel an estimated average of 30–50%, depending on client and project needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, architecture, and deployment of SAP solutions within SAP FICO.
• Facilitate business process reviews to gather expected business outcomes and functional requirements, and document end-to-end processes and business requirements.
• Design and develop SAP FICO functions, including configuration to meet client requirements and integration points with other modules.
• Identify opportunities to improve clients’ competitive advantage using relevant industry experience and leading practices.
• Advise clients on industry trends and issues and their potential impact.
• Lead and guide consultants and client personnel implementing SAP FICO.
• Lead analysis and design sessions to develop requirements for client solutions.
• Manage and oversee the design and development of customized reports.
• Provide general technical support to clients and conduct training as required.
• Assist with scoping prospective engagements and developing proposals.
