About The Position

Our client has acquired a business and is transitioning 65 applications, including the SAP landscape covered by these roles, from the acquired business's legacy landscape into its own. Transition is about to begin. These roles will carry their process areas through the full arc: knowledge transfer and transition of the applications into the client's target environment, stabilization once they are live there, and steady state run with defined SLAs, runbooks, and clean documentation. The delivery model is global. These consultants will work daily with CGI and client transition and application teams in other regions and time zones, and with third party vendors supporting the surrounding applications. Candidates need to be effective in that setting: clear written communication, disciplined handoffs, and the willingness to flex hours for overlap when the work requires it. This role can be based remotely anywhere in the United States however Dallas, Texas is highly preferred. Due to the nature of the work and in compliance with federal regulations, an active security clearance is required for this position.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of SAP FI and CO configuration experience, with at least one full lifecycle implementation.
  • Demonstrated depth in SAP bank accounting and payment processing: EBS, PMW, DMEE, BCM, and bank interface setup with multiple U.S. banks.
  • Solid understanding of FI–CO integration and the touchpoints with MM, SD, and PS.
  • Experience supporting a finance organization through period end close.
  • Experience on an M&A integration, carve out, or application transition program, including the shift from transition through stabilization into run.
  • Proven ability to work with globally distributed teams and flex hours for time zone overlap.
  • Active U.S. security clearance (Secret or higher preferred).
  • U.S. person under ITAR, with awareness of how export control and government contract requirements affect financial data access and reporting.

Nice To Haves

  • Aerospace and defense or manufacturing industry experience, particularly with cost plus and fixed price government contract accounting.
  • Exposure to SAP Treasury and Risk Management, In House Cash, or S/4HANA Cash Management.
  • Experience with SAP Project Systems and results analysis for long running programs.

Responsibilities

  • Support and enhance the client's financial accounting and controlling processes with a specific focus on banking: electronic bank statements, payment processing, cash management, and the integration between SAP and the client's banks and treasury systems.
  • Inventory every bank connection, payment format, and reconciliation in the current landscape and prove each one works in the client's target environment before moving into steady state run.
  • Work with a finance organization operating under government contract accounting rules.
  • Configure and support SAP FI (GL, AP, AR, asset accounting, bank accounting) and CO (cost center accounting, internal orders, product costing, profitability analysis, project systems integration).
  • Own the banking integration area: electronic bank statement processing (MT940, BAI2, CAMT), payment medium workbench, DMEE formats, ACH and wire payment runs, positive pay, lockbox, and bank communication management.
  • Maintain house bank and bank account master data, cash position and liquidity forecast reporting, and reconciliation processes.
  • Support month end and year end close activities and resolve posting and reconciliation issues with the finance team.
  • Work with the client's treasury and accounting groups to design controls that meet SOX and government contract accounting requirements (CAS, FAR Part 31 where applicable).
  • Lead the transition of your process area into the client's target environment: take knowledge transfer, document current state configuration and interfaces, validate migrated configuration and data, and confirm interfaces work end to end.
  • Stabilize and run: establish steady state support processes, write runbooks and knowledge transfer documentation, and move the area to defined SLAs.
  • Collaborate daily with distributed CGI and client teams across regions and time zones, and with third party vendors on connected applications.
