About The Position

Serves as Santa Claus at the Navy Exchange Store, engaging patrons and meeting customers who wish to talk with Santa or have their photographs taken. The role involves welcoming customers, creating a jovial and professional atmosphere, helping children feel relaxed for photographs, and providing courteous assistance to customers and coworkers. The associate wears the Santa Claus costume on the sales floor while greeting and meeting customers. The work requires long periods in a sedentary position and lifting children onto Santa’s lap.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patrons as they approach to talk or prepare for photographs.
• Greet customers and engage them jovially in conversation to help children relax for photographs.
• Maintain a high degree of visual and verbal professionalism when speaking with adults and children.
• Interact with customers and coworkers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Wear the Santa Claus costume on the sales floor while greeting and meeting customers, in accordance with NEX dress code uniform standards.
• Provide courteous service and respond to inquiries with tact, good manners, and prompt, friendly assistance.
• Lift children onto Santa’s lap while communicating with customers or preparing for photographs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
