About The Position

Serves as Santa Claus at a Navy Exchange Store, engaging patrons in conversation and meeting customers who want to speak with Santa or have their picture taken. The role requires a professional, friendly, and jovial manner when interacting with adults and children, and wearing a Santa Claus costume while greeting and meeting customers on the sales floor. It also involves long hours in a sedentary position and lifting children onto the employee’s lap for conversations or photographs. Other related duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patrons as they approach to talk or prepare for photographs.
• Greet customers and jovially engage them in conversation to help children relax for photographs.
• Maintain a high degree of visual and verbal professionalism that exceeds customer expectations.
• Interact with customers and coworkers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Wear the Santa Claus costume while greeting and meeting customers on the sales floor, in accordance with NEX dress code uniform standards.
• Provide courteous service; use tact, good manners, and courtesy when assisting customers and fellow associates.
• Respond to inquiries and provide assistance promptly and in a friendly manner.
• Lift children onto the employee’s lap for conversations or photographs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
