About The Position

The Sanitation worker is responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of the plant grounds. The role requires proper use of chemicals, cleaning agents, and specialized cleaning equipment while following safety policies and procedures. The position is on the first shift, from 4:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at $18.00 per hour. Employees must be able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays. Retention bonuses of $1,000 after 90 days and $2,500 after six months are available, subject to eligibility and terms.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or international education equivalent.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift 50–60 pounds and push or pull stacks of products weighing up to 200 pounds.
• Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and reach, bend, and extend.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear as required by the job.
• Communication, accountability, customer focus, initiative, problem-solving, and collaboration competencies.

Nice To Haves

• Manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use assigned cleaning equipment and chemicals, including power scrubbers and foamers, to clean and sanitize general areas within the plant.
• Operate electric pallet jacks and bailing machines.
• Perform heavy cleaning duties, including washing walls, ceilings, floors, drains, pipes, production equipment, and other assigned areas.
• Maintain the cleanliness of machines, equipment, tanks, and assigned areas.
• Stock and maintain designated areas with supplies and fill dispensers as needed.
• Remove trash, recycling, debris, and obstructions to maintain plant cleanliness and safety.
• Monitor for potential hazards, report deficiencies or issues to a supervisor or manager, and address occurrences as directed by leadership.
• Follow GMPs and safety and health policies and regulations, and wear proper PPE.
• Assist with special projects and complete other assigned duties.
• Work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Perform basic math.
