About The Position

Sanitation workers are responsible for cleaning and sanitizing production areas and machines to prepare the facility for the operation of food products. This role involves disassembling, cleaning, sanitizing, and reassembling production machines, as well as cleaning and sanitizing production areas. Mandatory safety training, including LOTO, Food Safety/GMP, and Chemical training, is required. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.
  • Ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment with repetitive motion.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work overtime as assigned.
  • Ability to work in refrigerated/cold and/or hot environments (10 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit).
  • Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers.
  • Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
  • Ability to perform calculations using units of American money, weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
  • Regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
  • Required to walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Use hands and arms to lift at least 40 pounds.
  • Keep up with the physical demands needed to complete assigned tasks.
  • Walk or stand for extended periods of time.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities
