About The Position

The Sanitation Operator is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of production and non-production areas within the plant, working under limited supervision and adhering to established sanitation and safety standards. This role involves dismantling, cleaning, sanitizing, and reassembling a wide range of equipment (such as cutters, slicers, pneumatic systems, breaders, mixers, fryers, conveyors, etc.). The operator uses high-pressure cleaning systems, mixes and handles chemical cleaning compounds, and performs thorough cleaning of surfaces, plumbing fixtures, glass, lights, electrical cords, ceilings, walls, floors, and cold storage spaces. This role will require a working schedule of Friday afternoons starting at 3pm until midnight.

Requirements

Experienced in using high-pressure cleaning systems and handling chemical compounds effectively and safely.
Capable of performing thorough cleaning and sanitizing of diverse surfaces and plant areas, including cold storage.

Responsibilities

Clean, sanitize, and reassemble plant equipment according to standards
Use high-pressure apparatuses and chemical solutions safely and effectively
Clean and maintain all types of surfaces (flat, plumbing, glass, lights, walls, ceilings, floors)
Empty/reline trash receptacles and handle waste removal
Maintain cold storage area cleanliness
Operate material handling equipment as required
Support production start-up through material supply and equipment operation
Comply with all sanitation and safety procedures and rules
