The Sanitation Worker is responsible for in-depth sanitation and sterilization of all production supporting equipment per the Sanitation Standard Operating procedures to ensure the safety and quality of our food products. This role requires understanding machine operating and adjusting procedures to effectively disassemble and assemble equipment for proper cleaning and sanitizing. The worker will follow appropriate handling procedures for cleaning and hazardous agents, maintain a safe and orderly work area, and perform chemical evaluations, mixing, and pH testing. Responsibilities also include cleaning plant production equipment and facilities to meet food safety requirements, operating cleaning systems, ensuring quality assurance compliance, basic troubleshooting of sanitation equipment, and maintaining effective communication with other departments. The role demands flexibility with production changes and maintaining an organized, clean work area.
