The Sanitation Technician is responsible for completing assigned tasks in a timely manner, including the breakdown, disassembly, and reassembly of equipment. This role involves performing sanitation procedures on all equipment in the assigned area, utilizing hazardous chemicals according to supplier specifications to ensure proper cleaning and prevent injury or damage. The technician must adhere to Land O'Frost, Inc. Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP), report any equipment inadequacies or damage, and perform pre-operational inspections. Additionally, the position requires responding to USDA sanitation-related requests, working collaboratively with co-workers, and successfully completing various training programs including chemical training, Lockout/Tagout, HAZMAT, and HAZCOM. Food safety is paramount, requiring accurate documentation for SSOP, HACCP, or other pre-requisite programs, and adherence to all food safety, quality, and GMP procedures specific to the role. Secondary responsibilities include performing regular technician duties, learning new equipment cleaning procedures, assisting in maintaining the sanitation chemical storage room, cleaning non-production areas, monitoring equipment during operation, and performing or assisting with swabbing for microbial information. Specific duties may also include packaging responsibilities like setting film registration on Multivac's, cookroom tasks such as setting up T-Sizers and Risco's and providing supplies, and formulation tasks like inserting lid seals, grinder augers, comitrol augers, and greasing comvair plates.
