About The Position

The Industrial Sanitation Technician is responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation within our production facility. This role involves performing thorough cleaning and sanitizing tasks, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, and supporting the overall hygiene and safety of the production environment.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in industrial cleaning or sanitation in a food production environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of sanitation procedures.
  • Ability to operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize production areas, including floors, walls, ceilings, and other surfaces, to ensure a hygienic environment.
  • Use appropriate cleaning agents and sanitizers, following manufacturer instructions and safety guidelines.
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations and company policies, including HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with sanitation standards and report any deficiencies or non-compliance issues.
  • Maintain and operate sanitation equipment, including pressure washers, floor scrubbers, and other cleaning tools.
  • Ensure sanitation equipment is in good working condition and perform routine maintenance as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of cleaning and sanitation activities, including checklists, logs, and reports.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or sanitation issues to the Sanitation Supervisor or Facilities Manager.
  • Follow all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Report any safety hazards or incidents immediately and take corrective action as needed to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Work closely with production staff to coordinate cleaning schedules and ensure minimal disruption to production activities.
  • Assist with special cleaning projects and other tasks as directed by the Sanitation Supervisor or Facilities Manager.
