Sanitation Technician
About The Position
The Sanitation Technician contributes to daily janitorial, sanitation, and machine cleaning activities. This role involves following daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules, assisting the Sanitation Supervisor in meeting requirements, and ensuring product quality standards are understood and followed by all personnel. The technician is expected to provide ongoing recommendations for improvements, possess knowledge of cleaning procedures (SOPs), and safely handle and properly label cleaning chemicals. Responsibilities also include following supervisor instructions, recording tasks in logbooks, washing and sanitizing production, warehouse, and office areas according to SOPs, maintaining a clean and organized cleaning room, and supporting production personnel as needed. The technician must also support and comply with Company policies, procedures, and work-rules.
Requirements
- Minimum one (1) year working in cleaning and sanitation
- Knowledge of cGMPs required
- High school diploma required
- Strong written and oral English communication skills required
- Ability to comply, interpret and support Company policies, procedures, work rules, and protocols
- Ability to adapt effectively to workplace changes and new job duties/responsibilities
- Ability to represent the Company in a positive and professional manner at all times
Nice To Haves
- Demonstrated achievements in lean and continuous improvement preferred
- Bi-lingual (Spanish) beneficial
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred
Responsibilities
- Contribute to day-to-day for all janitorial, sanitation, and machine cleaning activities
- Follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules
- Assist Sanitation Supervisor in meeting requirements
- Ensure that product quality standards are understood by all personnel and are being followed
- Provide ongoing recommendations for improvements
- Knowledge of Cleaning procedures SOPs
- Knowledge of approve keeping and handling cleaning chemicals in a safety manner, properly labeled
- Follow all the instructions of his immediate supervisor
- Record all tasks performed daily in the machinery or production area room cleaning logbooks
- Wash and sanitize all production area, warehouses and office area according to the related SOP
- Ensure cleaning room area is kept cleaned and organized at all the time
- Support all production personnel whenever their help is needed for cleaning
- Support Company policies, procedures, and work-rules and ensure that department employees comply with policies, standards, and work-rules
