About The Position

KENT Nutrition Group, Inc. is hiring a Sanitation Technician at its Arcade, New York facility. The role supports a clean, safe, efficient manufacturing environment for producing high-quality feed products and helps maintain the facility in a clean, rodent- and pest-free condition while meeting applicable regulatory and food-industry standards. This is a first-shift position with an approximate schedule of 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Compensation is $18.50–$19.00, in addition to standard KENT benefits.

Requirements

Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.
Good communication skills.
Understanding of feed manufacturing and willingness to learn and grow.
Thorough understanding of cGMPs.
Knowledge of the HACCP Feed & Food Safety Plan.
Knowledge of FSMA.
Ability to continually lift 55 pounds to a height of 48 inches for the assigned period.
Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Assist the Quality Control Manager and Sanitation Supervisor in maintaining the facility in a clean, rodent- and pest-free state and meeting or exceeding applicable FDA, USDA, New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets, and other regulatory and food-industry standards.
Report factors that may influence the quality and safety of finished feed and ingredients to the immediate supervisor.
Complete daily cleaning and housekeeping assignments according to the Sanitation Supervisor’s direction and sanitation schedule, safely and efficiently.
Fill in production positions when necessary.
Perform other duties as assigned by Plant Management.
