About The Position

The Oberto team has an opening for the critical position of Sanitation Technician on 3rd shift. The Sanitation Technician is responsible for the sanitation and release of all manufacturing machinery. This ensures timely startups of manufacturing and adherence to HACCP regulations. This is not a janitorial position. This position will be cleaning large manufacturing equipment in our plant.

Requirements

Minimum 6 months to 1-year sanitation with large manufacturing equipment/janitorial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the daily cleaning of raw processing departments and the weekly, Sunday, cleaning of finished processing and packaging departments.
Meet company and USDA specifications by cleaning and sanitizing machines to ensure that morning production crews can start on time. This may include tasks such as prioritizing, planning, and moving quickly and steadily through sanitation duties.
Spray machine parts and equipment with cleaners, sanitizers, and hoses.
Mix cleaning solutions, abrasive compositions, and other compounds, according to formulas to ensure proper cleaning and sanitizing.
Responsible for mixing and dispensing hand sanitizers.
Pre-soak or rinse machine parts or equipment by immersing objects in cleaning solutions or water, manually.
Inspect parts and equipment for cleanliness, damage, and compliance with standards or regulations.
Perform lock-out tag-out on machines when working on and cleaning machines.
