About The Position

This role is responsible for sanitizing equipment, production tools, and the facility environment in both the Apple and Formulated Plants to ensure best food production safety practices. They work closely with customers to create unique flavor elements for ice cream bases and yogurt preps, producing for both international corporations and smaller, local brands. Their Research and Development is done in-house, allowing them to witness the entire process from ideation to creation. They support regional trade organizations, source locally when appropriate, and help bring healthy food to people's tables.

Requirements

• One to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute ratio and percent.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Responsibilities

• Wears and maintains proper personal protection equipment while performing sanitation duties.
• Perform sanitation of production equipment and tools following strict standard operating procedures.
• Responsible for sanitation of the production environment.
• Responsible for sanitation of the exterior environment.
• Complete sanitation checklists and other records.
• Perform Master Sanitation Schedule tasks.
