About The Position

The Sanitation Technician at JW Nutritional LLC McKinney is responsible for day-to-day janitorial, sanitation, and machine cleaning activities. This role involves adhering to daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules and assisting the Sanitation Supervisor in meeting requirements. The technician is expected to ensure product quality standards are understood and followed by all personnel, and to provide recommendations for improvements. Key duties include safely handling and labeling cleaning chemicals, recording all tasks performed in logbooks, and washing and sanitizing production, warehouse, and office areas according to standard operating procedures (SOPs). The position also requires maintaining a clean and organized cleaning room, supporting production personnel with cleaning needs, and complying with all company policies, procedures, and work-rules.

Requirements

Minimum one (1) year working in cleaning and sanitation.
Knowledge of cGMPs required.
High school diploma required.
Strong written and oral English communication skills required.
Ability to comply, interpret and support Company policies, procedures, work rules, and protocols.
Ability to adapt effectively to workplace changes and new job duties/responsibilities.
Ability to represent the Company in a positive and professional manner at all times.
Knowledge of Cleaning procedures SOPs.
Knowledge of approved keeping and handling cleaning chemicals in a safety manner, properly labeled.

Nice To Haves

Demonstrated achievements in lean and continuous improvement preferred.
Bi-lingual (Spanish) beneficial.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred.

Responsibilities

Contribute to day-to-day for all janitorial, sanitation, and machine cleaning activities.
Follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules.
Assist Sanitation Supervisor in meeting requirements.
Ensure that product quality standards are understood by all personnel and are being followed.
Provide ongoing recommendations for improvements.
Record all tasks performed daily in the machinery or production area room cleaning logbooks.
Wash and sanitize all production area, warehouses and office area according to the related SOP.
Ensure cleaning room area is kept cleaned and organized at all the time.
Support all production personnel whenever their help is needed for cleaning.
Support Company policies, procedures, and work-rules and ensure that department employees comply with policies, standards, and work-rules.
