This role involves performing essential cleaning functions within the warehouse, accurately recording information on Sysco and external documents, and providing both external and internal customer service. The position also includes assisting with inventory and purchasing of janitorial supplies as needed. A key aspect of this role is strict adherence to Sysco’s Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality, and legality. The employee must be committed to working safely with minimal environmental impact, understanding the importance of immediately reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills to their Supervisor. This role is integral to personal and colleague safety, requiring a willingness to speak out when hazards are present. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
