About The Position

The Sanitation Technician I follows procedures and standard operating procedures to clean production equipment, rooms, and production lines, helping ensure safety and hygiene. The role may include recording sanitation activities and issues, completing required reports, advising a supervisor or manager of progress and non-routine issues, and notifying a supervisor when supplies need to be ordered. The schedule is Sunday through Wednesday, 8:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., with a $1.50 shift differential.

Requirements

• Able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Able to be productive on a third-shift schedule.
• Able to communicate with and take direction from the Sanitation Group Lead and/or Sanitation Supervisor.
• Regularly stand; occasionally sit, walk, stoop, or crouch, and ascend or descend stairs where facilities have multiple levels.
• Regularly lift up to 15 pounds and occasionally move up to 45–50 pounds using a hoist, pallet jack, or cart.
• Vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least six months of experience in a sanitation production environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow established procedures for cleaning and sanitizing idle production equipment.
• Wet-wash rooms and production lines.
• Complete required reporting to reflect sanitation activity.
• Advise the supervisor when supplies need to be ordered.
• Update the supervisor or manager on progress and non-routine issues.
