About The Position

This job will have periodic access to confidential data including company records, customer quotes, and product costs. Directly supervises non-supervisory and supervisory employees in the sanitation department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and supervising and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. This job follows standard practices and procedures and is expected to accomplish work assignments with a limited amount of supervision.

Requirements

  • Supervises the activities of the sanitation staff, including building custodian.
  • Must have supervisory experience.
  • Must have experience in sanitation.
  • Must be able to maintain employee time and sanitation records.
  • Must be able to order chemicals and supplies as needed for department.
  • Must be able to clean and sanitize all production equipment in compliance with FDA, HACCP, and other applicable regulations and document such.
  • Must be able to notify management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
  • Must be able to provide high-quality customer service to internal and external customers, vendors, and others.
  • Must adhere to company Policy and Procedures.
  • Must be able to perform duties as workload necessitates.
  • Must maintain a positive and respectful attitude.
  • Must communicate regularly with manager/supervisor about department issues.
  • Must demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and ability to prioritize.
  • Must consistently report to work on time, prepared to perform duties of position.
  • Must meet department productivity standards.
  • May perform other duties as required.

Responsibilities

  • Records SSOPs performed and ensures department is following sanitation schedule.
  • Assists workers with SSOPs and provides guidance when needed.
  • Maintains employee time and sanitation records.
  • Orders chemicals and supplies as needed for department.
  • Cleans and sanitizes all production equipment in compliance with FDA, HACCP, and other applicable regulations and documents such.
