The Sanitation Supervisor has overall responsibility for cleaning of the Poultry Plant to USDA standards, troubleshooting any problems or unusual situations. This role involves evaluating the performance of personnel and equipment, monitoring and assigning work area responsibilities, and maintaining or reducing operating costs. The supervisor is responsible for enforcing safety rules, identifying and correcting safety hazards, holding safety meetings with employees, and training employees in safe job procedures. They will also investigate accidents and take corrective action to prevent reoccurrences. Additionally, the supervisor orders chemicals, updates MSDS’s in accordance with hazard communications programs, and trains new hires in chemical management. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
