Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a food production or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to follow recipes, measurements, and instructions accurately.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift/move heavy objects.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced production environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Willingness to follow safety protocols and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of the dairy production equipment and environment.
  • Operating Clean-In-Place (CIP) systems to clean and sanitize equipment, tanks, and pipelines.
  • Disassembling and reassembling equipment for thorough cleaning as per the Master Sanitation Schedule.
  • Following all safety procedures and policies, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Attending pre-clean meetings with the Changeover Coordinator and Machine Operator to understand the cleaning requirements.
  • Maintaining specialized cleaning equipment and reporting any malfunctions or needs for repair.
  • Accurately logging all required sanitation metrics and completing documentation for quality assurance.
  • Assisting in the training and development of new operators, if required.
  • Complying with regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor, which may include supporting production during slower periods.
