About The Position

We are seeking a Sanitation Operator to join our team at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. As a Sanitation Operator, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary facility to support food safety, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness across production and support areas.

Requirements

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with strong attention to detail
• Commitment to cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards
• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and repetitive motion
• Willingness to work in variable temperature environments (hot, cold, or humid)
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and non-routine sanitation schedules

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or GED
• Prior experience in a food manufacturing or bakery environment
• Bilingual in English and Spanish

Responsibilities

• Maintain sanitary conditions throughout production, office, and support areas to meet food safety and regulatory standards
• Execute facility and equipment cleaning activities according to established sanitation schedules and procedures
• Support sanitation of production lines and components during scheduled maintenance and down-days
• Operate sanitation equipment, including floor scrubbers, to maintain safe and clean work surfaces
• Properly collect, remove, and dispose of waste and recyclable materials
• Maintain sanitation tools and equipment in clean, safe, and operational condition
• Support audit readiness by preparing the facility for inspections, audits, and customer visits
