The Sanitation Operator is responsible for inspecting, training, and following guidelines from the American Dairy Association, United States Department of Agriculture, American Institute of Baking, Food and Drug Administration, and company policies. The role involves sanitizing assigned equipment according to FDA and USDA regulations, quality specifications, and company policies. Day-to-day activities may include safely dispensing, titrating, and storing cleaning chemicals, smocks, and gloves; performing ATP testing and logging results; inspecting manufacturing lines, equipment, and outdoor areas for sanitation compliance; working safely around large processing equipment using cleaning agents and power cleaning tools; assisting with transporting heavy objects using proper machinery; and accurately completing all required digital and/or hardcopy documentation. The role also requires participation in safety and facility training, adherence to PPE and GMP guidelines, and effective work in wet environments with temperature variations. The position operates in a manufacturing environment with potential exposure to loud noises, strong odors, temperature fluctuations, moving machinery, wet or humid conditions, hazardous chemicals, high or confined areas, extreme temperatures, and vibration. Physical requirements include prolonged standing, walking, communicating, sensory tasks, frequent handling of objects, climbing, balancing, and performing physical movements such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
