The Sanitation Operator – Shift is responsible to inspect, train and follow the American Dairy Association and the United States Department of Agriculture guidelines, the American Institute of Baking regulations, the Food and Drug Administration regulations and company policies. Responsible for sanitizing assigned equipment according to FDA and USDA regulations, quality specifications and company policies. Your day-to-day may consist of: Safely dispense, titrate, store smocks, gloves, and cleaning chemicals per standards. Perform ATP testing, log results, and inspect manufacturing lines, equipment, and outdoor areas for sanitation compliance. Work safely around large processing equipment; use cleaning agents, power cleaning tools, and assist with transporting heavy objects using proper machinery. Accurately complete all required digital and/or hardcopy documentation throughout the shift. Participate in safety and facility training, consistently adhere to PPE and GMP guidelines, and work effectively in wet environments with temperature variations. This role works in a manufacturing environment with potential exposure to loud noises, strong odors, temperature fluctuations, moving machinery, wet or humid conditions, hazardous chemicals, high or confined areas, extreme temperatures, and vibration throughout various facility areas. This role also regularly engages in prolonged standing, walking, communicating, and sensory tasks throughout each shift, while frequently handling objects, climbing, balancing, and performing various physical movements such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling as part of job duties. The use of close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus is required.
