About The Position

This is a full-time position responsible for cleaning, rinsing, foaming, steaming, and sanitizing equipment, containers, and the facility according to established procedures. These procedures are documented in the Sanitation Standards of Operations Procedure book. The role involves maintaining cleanliness in all assigned work areas, including the disposal of garbage using a forklift, and keeping drains and floorways clear. The Sanitation Laborer must be able to operate production equipment to facilitate proper cleaning and follow safety procedures for handling chemicals and equipment. Responsibilities also include measuring and mixing chemicals, recording daily work performed, and maintaining the dumpster area. The position requires adherence to safety rules and company policies, and participation in training and meetings as appropriate.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Must be properly trained to handle chemicals.
Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Cleaning work area as assigned by the sanitation crew chief or supervisor.
Performing cleaning, rinsing, foaming, steaming, and sanitizing of equipment, containers, and the facility.
Disposing of garbage with a forklift.
Maintaining drains and floorways clear.
Operating production equipment correctly to facilitate proper cleaning.
Following safety procedures for the safe handling of chemicals and equipment.
Measuring and mixing chemicals per established procedures.
Recording work performed on the Sanitation Schedule at the end of each workday.
Maintaining the dumpster area in a clean and orderly condition.
Following safety rules and company policies.
Participating in training, employee meetings, committees, and project teams as appropriate.
Receiving written and verbal instructions and performing other duties as directed by Supervisor or crew chief.
