About The Position

This role involves loading pallets with finished product, verifying quantity, quality, and labeling of products ready for shipment. The position requires manual loading and unloading of materials, counting and recording units handled, attaching identification tags, and cleaning the work area. Assistance to other positions may also be required. The job emphasizes written communication, adherence to policies, productivity, safety, adaptability, punctuality, dependability, and initiative.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
Basic knowledge of computers and the ability to input data into a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

Loads pallets with finished product and verifies quantity, quality, and labeling of products ready for shipment.
Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets by hand.
Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet.
Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials.
Cleans and sanitizes work area.
Assists other positions when needed.
