About The Position

The Sanitation Associate ensures that routine sanitation and cleaning schedules are completed daily within a manufacturing and warehouse environment. This role involves adherence to cleaning schedules, general cleaning tasks, and assisting production staff as needed. The associate will also be responsible for the exterior cleaning of machinery and completing deep cleaning tasks to ensure the plant is audit-ready. This includes cleaning restrooms, common areas, and office spaces.

Requirements

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs
Ability to maintain regular punctual attendance
Perform job functions in hot and/or cold environment
Ability to stand for extended periods
Required to squat, reach, bend, pull, push, or be otherwise physically engaged during the shift
Mechanical aptitude: job training provided
Multitask and work with a sense of urgency
Work with independence following the daily routine & task list
Ability to read English and legibly complete all required paperwork
Follow Zaro’s safety standards.

Responsibilities

Adherence to the cleaning schedule for assigned areas throughout the bakery.
General cleaning of all dirties in the dish room using a combination of machine and/or 3 bay sinks.
Ensure different areas of the plant are cleaned by mopping, sweeping, wiping, etc.
Assist production staff with breaking down of lines and cleaning up projects as needed.
Responsible for the exterior cleaning of machinery as scheduled.
Completion of assigned deep cleaning tasks to ensure plant is audit ready.
Task may include scrubbing, and sanitizing walls, floors, baseboards, staircases, ovens, tables, sinks, drains, trash cans, electric cord reels, etc.
Regular emptying of garbage bins following the timeline.
Follow all sanitation procedures as outlined by the manager.
Clean restrooms, common and office areas.
