About The Position

The Sanitation Associate is responsible for implementing daily pre-operational procedures and maintaining sanitary conditions throughout Truvant facilities by following sanitation procedures, SSOPs, and work instructions. When working in production, the associate also inspects, packages, and palletizes products according to Truvant and customer specifications. On-the-job training is provided, and no previous experience is required.

• Follow regulatory and company policies, procedures, and work instructions, including Truvant and customer-specific policies, ISO, GMPs, USDA, and regulatory food safety and food defense requirements.
• Read documents, printouts, computer screens, and other communications.
• Hear well enough to communicate with coworkers.
• Reach, touch, and grasp; stand and/or walk for prolonged periods; climb, stoop or kneel, lift, pull, and push.
• Conduct oneself safely to avoid accidents on the production floor.
• Work in various environments depending on building location and products.
• Lift and position loads up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize production rooms, pack-off areas, and packaging equipment daily.
• Clean and sanitize other areas as assigned by the sanitation supervisor.
• Disassemble and assemble equipment and production lines.
• Operate a floor buffer and scrubber.
• Complete required sanitation pre-operational reports and other paperwork for assigned areas and products.
• Understand and follow product palletization requirements.
• Identify defects in packages and pouches.
• Operate a pallet jack.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
