About The Position

The Sanitation Associate performs sanitation duties in different areas of the facility according to accepted standards, regulations, and procedures, along with general building sanitation. The role includes cleaning and sanitizing fish and lobster, shipping and receiving areas, specialty rooms, equipment, drains, and other items such as tuna racks, ice vats, and utility carts. The associate follows food safety and safe work practices and may clean equipment when maintenance is needed during production. The position is based in Orlando, Florida, pays $15.00 per hour, and is scheduled Monday through Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.; the schedule may change during busy season. The employee may also work non-traditional hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, and may occasionally travel as business needs dictate.

Requirements

Basic knowledge of sweeping, emptying trash containers, and recleaning and re-sanitizing food processing equipment.
Ability to lift and push trash containers and empty vats.
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Provide the most recent employment experience for the application to be considered complete.

Responsibilities

Perform sanitation duties in different facility areas in accordance with accepted standards, regulations, and procedures.
Perform general building sanitation duties.
Follow food safety and safe work practices.
Clean equipment when maintenance work is needed during production, including equipment such as a skinner or ice machine.
Clean and sanitize fish and lobster.
Clean and sanitize the shipping and receiving area and keep it free of debris.
Clean and sanitize the specialty room and its equipment.
Clean drains over the shipping and receiving area.
Perform daily cleaning tasks involving tuna racks, ice vats, utility carts, and similar items.
Perform other duties as required.
