About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment within the manufacturing production area. The associate will perform various cleaning tasks, including trash removal, equipment washing, and spot cleaning, to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. This position requires adherence to company policies, ethical conduct, and a commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement. The associate will also be responsible for ensuring equipment is safely locked out during cleaning processes and assisting with pre-operational inspections.

  • Manufacturing or production environment experience.

Responsibilities

  • Pushes gondolas through the production area.
  • Uses shovels to pick up trash and meat scraps and places them into gondolas.
  • Pushes gondolas to lifters and dumps contents into collection bins.
  • Uses handheld sprayers to apply denature to inedible meat, marking it appropriately as inedible.
  • Transports hose carts to the production floor and connects high-pressure water hoses to the appropriate water and chemical connections.
  • Uses high-pressure water hoses and handheld sprayers to wash down all equipment and thoroughly clean production lines.
  • Spot cleans areas using scrub pads to remove any residual proteins from equipment after using high-pressure hoses.
  • Obtains and maintains LOTO authorized user status to lock out equipment and ensure safety during the cleaning process.
  • Assists Quality Assurance associates during pre-operations inspections and cleans any remaining proteins or unsanitary conditions discovered during pre-operation inspections.
  • Wears required personal protective equipment, including rain gear, boots, and goggles.
  • Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
