About The Position

This position is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary production environment. Key responsibilities include collecting and disposing of trash and meat scraps, cleaning production lines and equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation standards. The role requires physical stamina and attention to detail to support quality assurance and overall operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Must obtain and maintain LOTO (Lock Out/Tag Out) authorized user status.
  • Must wear required personal protective equipment (rain gear, boots, goggles) at all times.
  • Must comply with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
  • Must complete work assignments by collaborating with managers, coworkers, and business partners.
  • Must identify priorities and deadlines.
  • Must communicate progress.
  • Must recommend improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Push gondolas through the production area, using shovels to collect trash and meat scraps, and deposit them into gondolas.
  • Transport and empty gondolas into collection bins using lifters.
  • Use handheld sprayers to apply denature to inedible meat, ensuring proper marking.
  • Move hose carts to the production floor and connect high-pressure water hoses to designated water and chemical connections.
  • Clean production lines and equipment thoroughly with high-pressure hoses and handheld sprayers; use scrub pads for spot cleaning.
  • Obtain and maintain LOTO (Lock Out/Tag Out) authorized user status to ensure equipment is safely locked out during cleaning.
  • Assist Quality Assurance associates during pre-operation inspections and address any unsanitary conditions found.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (rain gear, boots, goggles) at all times.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards by implementing action plans and using the Open Door Policy.
  • Complete work assignments by collaborating with managers, coworkers, and business partners; identify priorities and deadlines; communicate progress; and recommend improvements.
