Responsibilities

  • Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources.
  • Collaborates with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners to align on priorities, deadlines, and expectations.
  • Carries out tasks and communicates progress and key information.
  • Identifies improvement opportunities and determines/recommends solutions.
  • Adapts to and learns from change, difficulties, and feedback.
  • Manages freight flow by moving and loading freight manually and with powered equipment (e.g., single/double pallet jack, lift, pacer).
  • Identifies, counts, separates, combines, palletizes, and scans freight.
  • Utilizes warehouse management systems (WMS), terminals, scales, and scanners.
  • Maintains required records, logs, and forms.
  • Keeps work area organized and maintains freight flow by stacking and moving empty pallets using pallet jacks and/or powered equipment.
  • Monitors freight to ensure cold chain and species compliance.
  • Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity; implements related action plans and uses the Open Door Policy as appropriate.
