About The Position

The Sanitation Associate I supports cleanliness, safety, and organization throughout designated warehouse areas for a food distribution company in Calera, Alabama. This is a contract position lasting 520 hours (approximately three months), with the potential to transition to permanent full-time employment. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with no travel.

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
• Dependable attendance.
• Knowledge of safety and cleanliness compliance.

• Previous warehouse or sanitation experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness throughout designated warehouse areas.
• Travel throughout assigned warehouse sections to collect and remove larger debris, including wood pieces, shrink wrap, label backings, and other warehouse waste materials.
• Move pallets as needed to clean underneath and around storage areas.
• Dust warehouse racks and storage locations.
• Mop and clean spilled products and other floor hazards.
• Empty, clean, and sanitize trash receptacles.
