We are currently hiring Full-Time and Part-Time Sandwich Artist/Cashier/CSR team members for our Java House Bistro location at the Indianapolis International Airport. Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver’s license to obtain an airport parking pass.
  • Arrives in proper uniform and adheres to all grooming standards.
  • Prepares food items in a sanitary and timely manner.
  • Follows portion control and presentation standards.
  • Understands proper equipment use and maintenance.
  • Works efficiently and consistently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of food service procedures, sanitation, and safe food handling practices.
  • Demonstrates effective communication and customer service skills.
  • Follows all cash handling procedures accurately.
  • Acts as a positive role model for staff and customers.
  • Works collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Demonstrates strong listening and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
  • Willingness to assist with additional tasks when needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior sandwich artist, cashier, or CSR experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing sandwiches, wraps, salads, and protein bowls while following recipes and adhering to Nature’s Table standards.
  • Processing cash, debit, and credit card transactions using a point-of-sale system.
  • Balancing cash drawers, making change, and delivering excellent customer service.
  • Setting up stations according to café guidelines.
  • Restocking items throughout shifts as needed.
  • Cleaning and maintaining stations while practicing proper sanitation and safety procedures.
  • Accommodating guests with food allergies or intolerances.
  • Ensuring food safety through proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
  • Assisting with financial accountability by recording orders, handling payments, and balancing cash drawers.
  • Thanks customers and encourages repeat business.
  • Assists with training new barista/cashier team members.
  • Promotes products, services, and special promotions through suggestive selling.
