About The Position

Essential Cabinetry Group is seeking a detail-oriented Sander to prepare cabinets, drawers, doors, and compartments for finishing. The role uses an orbital sander and other hand tools to smooth surfaces and correct deficiencies, inspects incoming parts for quality, and verifies completed work before pieces move forward. The position requires attention to detail, accountability, and communication across departments. This is a full-time, Monday–Friday position from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM, based in Mifflintown, Pennsylvania. The Sander works under the immediate supervision of the Department Supervisor.

Requirements

Ability to operate an orbital sander and other hand tools.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Strong basic math skills.
Ability to read a tape measure.
Ability to stand for long periods while performing repetitive motions.
Ability to lift or move more than 50 pounds at a time.
Ability to stand, walk, stoop, and perform motions for an extended period.

Use an orbital sander to sand and clean drawers and doors, smooth surfaces, and correct deficiencies.
Prepare surfaces for paint or stain using appropriate hand tools.
Feel and visually inspect sanded surfaces to verify the quality of finished workpieces.
Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the supervisor.
Read labels and instructions carefully and place completed pieces correctly on racks by order.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area and equipment, and follow prescribed safety procedures.
Complete and maintain documentation for parts.
Perform other duties as assigned.
