About The Position

PK Industrial is seeking a Sandblaster / Painter for their Corpus Christi, Texas location. This role involves performing all types of industrial painting work and surface preparation, mixing paints, and applying them to various surfaces. The position also includes assisting with maintenance and repair of equipment, adhering to safety protocols, and maintaining good working relationships with colleagues.

Responsibilities

Performs all types of industrial painting work and surface preparation.
Prepares various surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, sanding, sandblasting, or other means, as necessary.
Mix various paints, enamels, epoxies, urethanes, and special protective coatings for specified consistency, and drying properties.
Paint buildings, structures, equipment, and piping using brush, spray gun or another applicator.
Cleans and stores tools and equipment and cleans work sites.
Assists in a variety of maintenance and repair work on equipment including paint pumps, blast equipment, air compressors, generators, and the like.
Assists in performing preventative maintenance on blasting equipment, spray equipment, and pneumatic systems.
Bends/stoops/reaches and lifts/carries heavy objects weighing up to 80 pounds; twists torso 45o to 90o to perform essential functions; ability to climb staircases; works in confined spaces; climbs ladders and onto scaffolding; works in inclement weather and a variety of situations. May be assigned to wear a respirator and/or self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) as needed.
Appropriately fills out hourly time sheets.
