About The Position
The 1st class Blaster/Painter performs blasting and painting using marine coatings in accordance with specified contract requirements. The role requires understanding blasting and painting specifications, including blast profiles and milage requirements, and carrying out applications as directed by supervision. Candidates will be tested on connecting airlines to a manifold and spraying horizontally, vertically, and side to side.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a blaster/painter.
- Ability to perform all blast requirements and functions using all applications.
- Ability to identify and correct blast and paint deficiencies according to contract specifications.
- Ability to sand blast and demonstrate how to use each part of the blast equipment.
- Must pass a drug screen (HFT) and background check.
