About The Position

VSSI Staffing is hiring an experienced Sandblast & Paint Associate for a manufacturing company in Hempstead, Texas. The role involves industrial sandblasting, surface preparation, and applying industrial coatings to manufactured parts and equipment while meeting specifications and quality standards. The associate works in a team-oriented manufacturing environment and helps maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work area. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Overtime may be required. Pay starts at $16.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

Previous industrial sandblasting and painting experience.
Manufacturing or machine shop experience.
Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety procedures.
Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
Dependability and a solid work ethic.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to lift 50 pounds or more occasionally.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
Ability to wear required PPE, including respirators and protective equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

Perform industrial sandblasting and surface preparation on manufactured parts and equipment.
Apply industrial coatings and paint according to specifications and quality standards.
Inspect surfaces before and after painting to ensure proper finish and coverage.
Operate sandblasting and painting equipment safely and effectively.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Follow company safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment.
Work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
Assist with other production duties as assigned.
