About The Position

This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with and completion of all daily operational procedures by the Food and Beverage Department. The role involves maintaining food and beverage safety and quality based on hotel, Shaner, and Franchise specifications, and ensuring effective communication with the General Manager, all other Department Managers, Supervisors, and Staff. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum one year of experience in a similar position dealing with the public.
  • Minimum of 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • ServSafe and/or food safety training.
  • Alcohol awareness training (such as TIPS).

Nice To Haves

  • Some college preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
  • Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.

Responsibilities

  • Take food and beverage orders, retrieve, and serve alcoholic, non-alcoholic beverages, and food orders to guest tables according to hotel specifications, courteously and efficiently.
  • Collect payments.
  • Assist in the maintenance of the restaurant area and equipment.
