Sand & Prep Technician
About The Position
As a Sand & Prep Technician, you would be working in a shop environment where your responsibilities will include sanding the surface of transformers to promote high adhesion of paint products. You will use various hand tools and sub-surface products to completely prepare the surface in such a way as to promote a good finished product. This includes pressure washing off all oils and debris, taping-off all parts and components that should not be painted, and removing all plastic and tape after the unit is painted and set in the QC area. This is not an assembly-line factory job. It’s a fast-paced, hard-working, but very rewarding environment where you will be part of a team of qualified technicians who rebuild industrial transformers. Requirements
- Love working with your hands to fix things and solve problems.
- Comfortable with online documentation and web-based software systems (with computer & smartphone).
- Good communicator; in-person, over the phone, and via email.
- Good learner; not a know-it-all.
Responsibilities
