Responsibilities

Lead coverage of the world’s biggest chipmakers and their central role in the AI infrastructure boom.
Conduct in-depth, sophisticated reporting into Nvidia, Intel, and other major semiconductor companies integral to the global data center build-out.
Build sources among executives and engineers to break news on innovations and corporate strategy within opaque and highly technical companies.
Write features that demystify the hardware and global supply chains underpinning artificial intelligence.
Collaborate with FT reporters on adjacent beats.
Interrogate fears about an AI bubble and allegations of circular financing arrangements between chipmakers and their customers.
Report on the grassroots backlash provoked by the proliferation of data centers, strain on the electrical grid, and mistrust of AI, which has become a major political issue.
Share tips and engage in joint bylines with technology, finance, and political reporters across the US, Europe, and Asia.
