About The Position

Under the supervision of the Samples Department Manager, the Samples Associate creates sample boards. The role involves manual labor and a high level of attention to detail because samples are important takeaways for customers. The associate works in a warehouse environment and follows company policies, procedures, goals, directives, and safety protocols.

Requirements

Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
Verbal English communication skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent attendance at current or previous employment.
Desire to work in a fast-paced, positive environment.
Highly organized and deadline-oriented.
Self-motivated and proactive.
Open to cross-training on equipment and functions.

Responsibilities

Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment.
Follow proper shipping and receiving protocol.
Process paperwork for inter-branch transfers.
Pull, pack, strap, and stage orders efficiently.
Assist with inventory management and control.
Learn product specifications, including size, color, shape, material, and type.
Learn the company branch system and corresponding branch color tags.
Cut, glue, and grout efficiently.
Label sample boards properly.
Operate wet saws, air staplers, manual tile cutters, and power drills safely.
Inspect forklifts and warehouse equipment daily and report issues to the warehouse manager.
Operate stand-up reach and sit-down forklifts.
Attend safety meetings and uphold warehouse safety protocols and instructions.
Work cooperatively in a team environment.
Work within the framework of company policies, procedures, goals, and directives.
Perform any other duties required of the position.
