Sample and Studio Assistant
About The Position
The Sample and Studio Assistant supports the Sample Manager by organizing, packing, sorting, and preparing product samples for photo shoots and cross-functional projects. The role also assists with studio operations, including steaming products, maintaining and organizing the styling closet, and helping with studio projects and day-to-day needs. The position is suited to an organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and adaptable team player who can help a high-volume, fast-paced fashion e-commerce studio run smoothly. This is a full-time, hourly, in-office role based in Downtown Los Angeles, with standard work hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The role includes physical work such as weekly unboxing, shipping, and tracking products, and requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Remote work is not available.
Requirements
- One year of experience in a related position.
- Working experience with Excel and Google Sheets.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to work positively and collaboratively across different teams and projects.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and keep up with physical demands, including weekly unboxing, shipping, and tracking products in a timely manner.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of Shopify and NetSuite.
Responsibilities
- Support the Sample Manager with projects related to the flow of samples in and out of the LA Studio.
- Receive, unpack, and organize incoming TOP samples.
- Assist with quality control and checking in samples.
- Tag and organize products according to the Merch Doc and debut dates.
- Pull and prepare products for still-life and social shoots.
- Reset and reorganize racks after still-life shoots to prepare for upcoming shoots.
- Pull and pack products for content creators and other internal requests.
- Organize, box, and prepare products for shipment to the Outlet.
- Maintain organization of the sample room and racks throughout the week.
- Support vendor communication by email.
- Review samples for fit, quality, and color.
- Document and communicate sample discrepancies to relevant teams.
- Log samples in merchandise sample documents to help maintain the shot list.
- Work cross-functionally with buyers, marketing, and the influencer team, in addition to the studio team.
- Support the Photo Studio team with steaming, organizing, and other assigned tasks.
- Help the stylist maintain the styling closet, check inventory, and pack for weekly location photo shoots.
- Assist studio leadership with upkeep of the Photo Studio and photo shoot operations.
