About The Position

AIT Home Delivery is seeking contractors for same-day home furnishing deliveries in the Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania area. Contractors provide final delivery, assembly, and/or repair services for consumer goods on behalf of high-end companies. Work involves picking up orders from local home improvement or home goods retail locations and delivering them to job sites or customers’ homes. Attention to delivery details and exceptional customer service are important. Settlements are processed weekly, with potential earnings of $40,000–$100,000 or more depending on volume, location, and the contract work accepted. This work requires a two-person team: the contractor must provide a 26-foot box truck with a lift gate and a reliable helper. The vehicle must be adequately insured and capable of transporting large items such as fitness equipment. Contractors must meet applicable insurance, vehicle registration, state vehicle-law, and, where applicable, DOT/MC-number requirements. Background and drug screens are performed for contractors and helpers, and motor vehicle record checks are performed for driving contractors.

Requirements

Provide a 26-foot box truck with a lift gate.
Provide a reliable helper; two-person teams are required.
Have an adequately insured vehicle capable of transporting large items such as fitness equipment.
Have an EIN (federal tax ID).
Comply with insurance and vehicle registration requirements.
Comply with applicable state laws for the vehicle used to perform the work.
DOT/MC numbers may be required for vehicles with a GVWR over 10,000 pounds.
Pass background and drug screens; these apply to contractors and helpers.
Driving contractors must undergo an MVR check.
Be tech savvy with a mobile phone.
Have excellent communication skills and be committed to exceptional customer service.
