The Salty Processing Operator, under general supervision, is responsible for the safe, efficient and continuous operation of processing machinery. This role involves operating processing equipment to produce product within established quality guidelines, accurately mixing ingredients, monitoring temperatures and moisture levels, and making necessary adjustments. The operator will also be responsible for shutting down equipment according to procedures, communicating quality issues, reading and understanding batch sheets, following recipes, and accurately weighing raw materials. Additionally, the role includes monitoring and logging operational data, checking for foreign matter, following sanitation procedures, and disposing of waste. Material handling, including the use of forklifts and pallet jacks, maintaining raw material levels, and managing inventory usage are also key aspects of this position. The operator will also be responsible for testing and maintaining oil levels in processing equipment and understanding the heat exchanger system. If applicable, monitoring and adjusting seasoning coverage is required. Adherence to safety, hygiene, and housekeeping guidelines, including proper lifting techniques and reporting of defective equipment or injuries, is essential. Other duties may be assigned as required.
