The Salty Processing Operator, under general supervision, is responsible for the safe, efficient and continuous operation of processing machinery. This role involves operating processing equipment to produce product within established quality guidelines, mixing ingredients, monitoring temperatures and moisture levels, and making necessary adjustments. The operator will also be responsible for shutting down equipment, communicating quality issues, reading and understanding batch sheets, following recipes, accurately weighing raw materials, monitoring and logging production data, and identifying potential foreign matter. Additionally, the role includes following sanitation procedures, disposing of waste, moving raw ingredients using material handling equipment, maintaining raw material levels, unloading raw materials, and managing inventory usage and disposal of cutter blades. The operator will also be responsible for testing and maintaining oil levels in processing equipment and understanding the heat exchanger system. If applicable, monitoring and adjusting seasoning coverage is also a responsibility. The position requires adherence to safety and hygiene guidelines, maintaining a clean work area, and reporting any defective equipment or job-related injuries.
