SALT Director - Sales & Use Tax
About The Position
EisnerAmper is seeking a Director to join its State and Local Tax (SALT) division in the Sales & Use Tax practice. The role serves clients in a growing environment and delivers sales and use tax compliance and consulting services. The Director manages client work and firm resources, including software, and collaborates with clients and in-house tax professionals. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or an equivalent field.
- CPA, EA, or JD.
- 10 or more years of Sales & Use Tax compliance and consulting experience.
- 5 or more years of experience with Vertex returns software or similar software.
- 5 or more years of supervisory experience.
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree in Accounting or an equivalent field.
- CMI (Sales & Use Tax) designation.
- State income tax experience.
- Experience with state tax planning, tax research, and tax analysis.
- Experience with Vertex and Alteryx.
- Experience implementing Sales & Use Tax systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage the Sales & Use Tax compliance process for clients.
- Prepare Sales & Use Tax returns.
- Provide Sales & Use Tax consulting, including nexus and taxability studies.
- Conduct Sales & Use Tax research projects and audit defense.
- Perform research and writing, including due diligence.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other in-house tax professionals and clients.
- Research and analyze state tax legislation and assess its impact on clients.
- Assist with tax consulting projects, including research and writing related to tax planning, restructuring, and accounting for income taxes.
- Manage firm resources, including software.
