About The Position

The Salon Assistant role is for individuals passionate about beauty and eager to start a career in the salon industry. This dynamic and enthusiastic individual will join the team to gain hands-on experience working alongside top stylists, learning the latest techniques in hair care, coloring, and styling within a vibrant, fast-paced salon environment. The position offers hands-on training, observation of professionals, and serves as a first step toward becoming a licensed stylist. Requirements

State Cosmetology License
Weekend and night availability is required
Ability to hear so as to effectively understand customer’s needs
Ability to lift up to 25lbs
Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time and remain attentive to guests' needs
Ability to sustain reasonable physical activity for the duration of a scheduled shift
Sensitivity to unnecessary waste of product and a willingness to act to reduce waste

Responsibilities

Perform shampoo and conditioning treatments for milk + honey guests.
Maintaining laundry for the salon.
Perform a variety of cleaning duties including but not limited to mopping, sweeping, dishes, cleaning the bathroom, and taking out the trash.
Exemplify milk + honey’s Core Values in every interaction with guests and coworkers.
Adherence to all Attendance and Punctuality policies.
Present a polished and professional image at all times.
Be able to lift up to 25lbs and be on your feet for extended periods.
