About The Position

The Salesperson is responsible for generating new business, expanding existing accounts, and promoting company services including portable restrooms, roll-off dumpsters, and grease/septic pumping. This role requires strong relationship building skills, territory management, and the ability to provide customers with service-based solutions tailored to their operational needs. This position will cover a territory from Salem, VA south through Martinsville, VA into North Carolina.

Requirements

Experience in outside sales, preferably in waste management, construction services, environmental services, or related industries.
Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and manage a high-activity sales schedule.
Have a valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record.
Comfortable working in construction, industrial, and outdoor environments.
Proficiency with CRM systems and basic computer applications.

Responsibilities

Prospect, identify, and secure new business across construction, industrial, commercial, municipal, and event-based markets.
Conduct site visits to evaluate placement, access, pumping needs, and safety considerations.
Prepare accurate quotes, proposals, and service agreements.
Manage a defined territory and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
Educate customers on service options, unit types, roll-off sizes, and pumping schedules.
Maintain and grow existing accounts through regular communication and service follow up.
Collaborate with dispatch, drivers, and operations to ensure timely and accurate service delivery.
Track competitor activity, pricing trends, and market conditions.
Maintain accurate CRM records of leads, quotes, contracts, and customer interactions.
Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities as needed.
Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and/or service.
