About The Position

Thunder is a Salesforce-native systems integrator backed by Salesforce Ventures that helps growing companies design, build, and run Salesforce. The Salesforce Solution Engineer is the technical lead in sales pursuits, partnering with Client Directors and Salesforce account executives to translate prospects’ business problems into credible solutions, scoped estimates, and effective demonstrations. The role connects sales commitments with delivery work so that proposed solutions can be implemented as promised. The position leads technical discovery with business and IT stakeholders; designs solutions across Salesforce products; builds tailored demonstrations and proofs of concept; and owns effort estimates, assumptions, risks, statements of work, and proposal content in collaboration with Delivery. It also supports joint pursuits with Salesforce, manages handoffs to Delivery, and improves reusable demos, estimation templates, and solution accelerators. Thunder describes itself as a remote-first, global team. The position is remote in the United States, with Central or Eastern Time preferred and Chicago, Illinois, preferred. Success is measured by technical win rate, bookings influenced or sourced, estimate accuracy against delivered margin, and satisfaction among Client Directors, Delivery, and Salesforce partners.
